The picture on the lower right, Monk Touches Nun, is not obscene or offensive -- it's simply truthful! Apparently in the "old days" of the church nuns would sometimes be accused of having sex.
If the nun were pregnant, her breasts would begin to swell during the pregnancy. Priests appointed themselves to the duty of these "pregnancy checks."

One of the most interesting things about the Frans Hals Museum is the courtyard. There is a maze of well-manicured boxwood hedges and various flower displays throughout the year. It's a great place to take a break in between looking at art. |
