Just as well known (and visited) is the area from Pier 39
to Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square. Complemented by Aquatic Park and
Fort Mason, this area is not far from the Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy
Field.

Pac Bell Park and the SF
Giants If you can get tickets on the AAA Club
level or higher around first base or right field, you will be treated to a
great view. Some of Barry Bonds best homers were "Splash Hits" into McCovey
Cove. There are boat tours that visit the cove during games. Another fine view
is the right-outfield free section just above McCovey Cove. If you can't afford
the pricey AAA Club tickets, then get the free view of the game and the closeup
view of the water..
Walk or Bike Across the Golden
Gate Look, this one's pretty obvious. Since
you could probably figure out on your own that you can walk across the Golden
Gate Bridge or bike across the Golden Gate Bridge, I want to tell you a joke
instead.
Q. "Who are the people walking and biking
across the Golden Gate Bridge in shorts with blue legs? A. Toursts!
I'm sure I
say this elsewhere, but let me remind you again that just because it's sunny,
warm, and calm at 9am, it's probably going to be foggy, windy and cold as the
afternoon progresses. This is especially true in the summertime. Shorts are
great but keep a pair of jeans or other warm long pants in your backpack for
later in the day..
